As EVs become more common, I foresee the charging of the vehicles becoming an issue. For those who stay in housing societies with shared parking, one has to either lay down the electrical connection from the flat or from the main switchboard till the parking area. Of alternatively take a direct connection afresh with a separate meter.
It will be more difficult for those who don’t have a fixed parking area and park their cars depending on the availability of the vacant space in the common area of their housing societies.
I see an opportunity for managed charging service providers. Something like the Wifi in Hotels. You buy a prepaid coupon and then can then use the metered bandwidth. Something similar will come up for charging of electric vehicles.
You are taking an overtly optimistic view of the e-vehicles. The scenario which you are speaking of will arise only in 2030 and afterwards…not any time soon.
